PIANO REPAIRS

Piano Repairs in Trenton, New Jersey

Don was not only trained in tuning pianos; he also learned the art of piano rebuilding as well. Don has personally rebuilt hundreds of pianos over his career. Piano rebuilding includes hammer replacement, bridge repair, keytop replacement, restringing, soundboard repair to name just a few of these different, complicated processes. This training and experience means Don is prepared for any minor repair of your piano from sticky keys to new keytops or string replacement if it is needed. It also means Don has the experience to know ahead of time how in depth a problem may be and he can advise his clients on the value of such repairs.

There are, however, times when a repair is so involved and costly that he may advise a client not to have such work performed. Don is a strong believer that anytime work is recommended by him that the end result is worthy of such an expense. Only a well-trained rebuilder can know this. Don has seen the result many times of having a poorly trained technician advise a client. He has seen rather simple repairs snowball into bigger issues for a less trained technician. He has also seen repairs that should have never been attempted or repairs that were done to a unworthy instrument. While you may never need major rebuilding services for your home piano, isn’t it nice to know that from Dons perspective, what you believe to be a big problem may be a very minor issue. Only a well-trained technician can know the difference. Your piano will always be handled with kid gloves by a skilled technician with years of experience. Don never or will farm his work out to other lesser trained technicians.
